The well-known Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) has moved out of the Willet Green Miller Centre that is on the Laurentian University Campus in Sudbury, said a news release from that agency. CEMI said it was well served at the LU venue and said great memories were created over 10 years.

“As we were evolving to our new business model, we felt it was time for a change and we are very excited about our new location downtown. It will increase our visibility in the local business community and allow our team and our guests to take advantage of all that the downtown core has to offer,” said the news release.

In the meantime, CEMI is preparing to host a conference in Toronto for The Future of Deep Mining and Smart Mining 2.0 to be held September 19-20, 2019 at One King West. Registration is now open.
