A little about Douglas

Experience with a purpose.

Douglas spent 14 years working in the deep nickel mines of the Sudbury Basin, becoming Superintendent of Rock Mechanics and Mine Design at Inco (now Vale). He then spent 15 years at Golder Associates on strategic mine design, productivity and safety around the world, including as its Global Mining Sector Leader. He has held advisory and board roles with Canadian mining research organizations and has held key roles at CEMI since 2010, becoming President and CEO in 2012. In 2014, he also became director of the Ultra-Deep Mining Network.
