Samantha is a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. She attended the University of Toronto specializing in Geotechnical Engineering and graduating in 1988. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Applied Science & Engineering in 1999 with a specialization in Mining Engineering. Samantha has worked for a range of mining companies including Falconbridge, Dome, Denison-Potacan, Noranda, Inco, Vale Inco and Vale. She has worked in the operating roles, in engineering and in management. She is currently leading the Technical Excellence Centre for Mining and Mineral Processing, providing support to the Vale Base Metal’s organization with a team of highly qualified professionals.
