Charles Nyabeze
Vice President of Business Development
Charles holds a Masters in Business and Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor of Mining Engineering.. Charles has worked for the Kidd Creek mining operations and completed a thesis on “The Assessment of Blasthole Stability” in deep mines. Charles has worked in the field of business development and community economic and resource development for the last 18 years. He has experience in the areas of community engagement, business planning, fundraising, grant writing, and facilitation of community economic development strategies.
As an entrepreneur, Charles has started, owned and operated online and offline businesses. In addition, Charles spent 6 years working for the Government of Manitoba where he gathered knowledge on the intricacies of private-public sector relations whilst working with Northern First Nations groups. As the VP Business Development for the Centre for Excellence In Mining Innovation, Charles endeavors to create long-term value (commercialization, revenue generation, leveraging funds) for organizations and clients by identifying business development opportunities with both the public and private client segments. His role also includes leading in proposal development initiatives, securing partnerships and collaborators to participate in program or project initiatives. Charles also works to advance the overall organizational strategic objectives.
