Chamirai Charles Nyabeze has been appointed as the Network Director for the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator Network (MICA). Chamirai’s new role was announced on June 22, 2023 and officially commenced on July 6, 2023. This appointment comes with the full support of the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI), where Chamirai has been an invaluable member for the past 11 years, serving in various capacities and contributing significantly to CEMI’s sustainability and the development of innovation programs. Douglas Morrison will continue to contribute to MICA as the Mining Advisor to the Network.
Chamirai brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this position. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Chamirai has been instrumental in driving long-term value for CEMI and its clients as the VP of Business Development and Commercialization. As a co-founder of MICA, Chamirai has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the MICA Team, overseeing network operations, government relations, brand management, network national and international growth, network performance, and revenue generation. Additionally, Chamirai will continue leading CEMI’s Commercialization and Business Development initiatives as the Vice President Business Development.
