The Government of Canada is launching the Crush It! Challenge. The Government is looking for ideas that will transform one of the mining industry’s most energy-intensive and inefficient processes: crushing and grinding. You are invited to join the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi Minister Natural Resources Canada in Sudbury, Ontario on October 30, 2018 for the launch of the Challenge. The event will start at 10:15 a.m., followed by networking. Over the next two years, this Challenge will see Canadian innovators compete to develop new technologies or processes that will significantly reduce the amount of energy required. Up to six finalists will receive as much as $800,000 each to produce a prototype of their idea. The winner with the best solution will receive a grand prize of $5 million to develop a demonstration-scale version of their innovation.
